Regarding the traffic control aspect, a GPS-based dynamic management system has been introduced to all vehicles. The driving situations (quick acceleration, quick deceleration, maximum speed, continuous driving, hours on duty, etc.) are monitored on the basis of the digital tachometer data. We try to prevent drunk and overworked driving by thorough alcohol check and on-duty hour management at each distribution base. In terms of the environmental aspect, we prevent environment disruption and promote environmental preservation activities such as distribution improvement, energy-saving driving, thorough idling stop, the change to low-emission vehicles, and introduction of hybrid vehicles.
In addition, we have planned and promoted health and safety activities based on actual driving situations, to implement our goal of zero industrial accidents. We also try to improve health and safety standards and prevent injuries or illness of employees, as well as promote activities to keep the workplaces comfortable. Furthermore, to improve quality and safety awareness, we have supported the development of excellent logistics human resources and the establishment of a safety structure with the training of internal inspectors, implementation of accident prevention education, utilization of driving record certificates, and the acquisition of various certifications.
By conducting appropriate operation management and thorough safety education, we aim to sustain the continuation of a safe, secure and reliable transportation and also to meet the increasingly sophisticating and diversifying demands of our customers.
