Investing in Human Capital as a Source of Growth

We believe that developing people who share the Tomoku Group Management Philosophy and can act to realize it is the foundation that supports the sustainable enhancement of the Group’s corporate value. Guided by this belief, we are committed to human resource development.

Looking ahead, risks such as the declining birthrate and aging population, the shrinking workforce, and increasing labor mobility are expected to become even more pronounced. Against this backdrop, we believe that investment in human capital is essential to achieving sustainable corporate growth. Specifically, we are focusing on strengthening recruitment and retention, developing employees’ skills and capabilities, optimizing our talent portfolio, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) to enhance productivity and competitiveness.

Human Resource Development

Across the Packaging Business, Housing Business, and Transportation and Logistics Business, we have clearly defined the culture we seek to preserve and the ideal qualities of our employees, based on the Tomoku Group Management Philosophy. Building on this foundation, we are working to enhance productivity and competitiveness by strengthening the skills and capabilities needed to realize each business’ growth strategies and by developing an optimal talent portfolio.

For leadership development, we provide training tailored to each position level and actively select and appoint motivated young employees to key positions, including management roles, to support their growth as leaders. Through these initiatives, we are working to develop the next generation of management talent.
